Learning to Lead Vision, Mission and Core Values

Powerful Online Professional Development Workshops

For Not-for-Profit Organizations

From time to time it’s important to step away from daily tasks to see your business or not-for-profit organization in a larger context, looking farther ahead than current objectives, bringing a sharper focus onto the organization’s future. Updating this higher-altitude view of a business might be triggered by:

  • Changes in the market, new competitors or other providers;

  • New leadership, new senior team members or new board members;

  • Changes in funding or the economic situation;

  • Proposed new products or services;

  • Or maybe it’s just been too long since a review of your strategic direction.

Management Team Private Workshop Agenda

We’ll guide you and your planning team during a three-hour online meeting to develop or update a vision for how your customer or constituent market will evolve, how to focus the mission for your organization and how to discover the core values which already exist within your team members.

This is not a group editing session to develop vision and mission statements. It is a decision process to propose and select elements of your strategic direction, in a competitive context. Sometimes well-polished statements emerge, and sometimes they are finalized later on by a small group of those who participated in the workshop.

$3,000 fee. Maximum twelve participants. A 10% non-refundable deposit, payable by credit card, will hold the date. Participant kits and a balance due invoice will be sent two weeks prior to the workshop. The fee includes one follow-up call to discuss communication strategies for the updated strategic direction.

Public Workshop Agenda

Using our simple methodology and a third-party example (not your organization), we’ll train you to keep a planning team focused on their future direction while avoiding the pitfalls of group editing vision and mission statements or a generic values list which could apply to any organization anywhere.

A River Trip process map will be sent in advance to all participants. This 2.5 hour workshop accommodates both business and not-for-profit participants. $325 fee per participant. The fee is non-refundable, but can be used for a different workshop date with 10-day notice.
